Open Night at St. Malachy's Primary School Armagh

24th Oct 2011
On Thursday 20th October St. Malachy's primary school opened their doors to prospective pupils and parents. The night was extremely well attended and provided parents with the opportunity to experience school life at St. Malachy's first hand.

A range of activities were ongoing throughout the school and as parents spoke with teachers, the future pupils of St. Malachy's interacted with the school's present pupils.

The principal, Mr Paul Duggan addressed the audience and spoke about the warm caring family atmosphere that St. Malachy's is so widely renowned for. The parents were also informed about the range of extra curricular activities, the school's high expectations and the excellent academic results achieved by St. Malachy's pupils.

The principal also informed parents of the ongoing outdoor facilities, soon to be completed. These include the building of a handball / hurling rebound wall, a grass play area and an extensive outdoor physical play area equipped with three separate climbing apparatus. These new developments ensure that St. Malachy's is well resourced to deliver the current curriculum

The school community would like to thank all who attended the open night and look forward to seeing them again in September.

Any prospective parents who were unable to attend the open night should contact the school for more information and the opportunity to visit the St. Malachy's Primary School.
